We finished creating individual S.M.A.R.T. goals to work on this semester. Completion date: October 14.
We discussed the three sides of the health triangle and definition of health.
Health is the combination of physical, mental/emotional and social well-being.
Be sure to teach about Living Above the Line to an adult, have it signed and return to class for full credit.
We talked about the importance of taking ownership of our choices and created a magic foldable "Living Above the Line." Students who completed it received half credit. They need to share the information they learned with an adult, have it signed and return for full credit. This is one of the very few assignments which will be sent home.
Today we had the Health Pre-test. Students will receive full points just for taking the test. It is a good indicator of where we are beginning and how much improvement will be made. This same test will be given at the end of the semester and the actual points will count towards a final grade.
Our class rule is Be Respectful of Others, Yourself and Things. We discussed what that looks like in our classroom and got to know each other a little bit.
Mrs. Brown is your favorite health teacher and is super excited to share what she knows about health to help everyone live healthier, happier lives.
